THEN & NOW Ed Ruscha Hollywood Boulevard 1973-2004.

The Hollywood Boulevard has been photographed in its entirety in both directions in black and white by Ed Ruscha in July 1973. In June 2004 he decided to do this again but now in color. In this book the photos of the northern side of the journey in eastward direction have been reproduced in two strips over 142 pages under
each other and those of the southern side of a journey in the opposite direction are shown also under each other, but upside down on the same pages. Designed by Ed RUSCHA. In 1973 Ed RUSCHA took the photos himself, but in 2004 Hans GRUNERT took the photos. Artistbook.
