First edition. This copy has been numbered: “398”. This relatively unknown masterpiece proves that the Dutch artist CORNEILLE - one of the founders of the Cobra movement in 1948 - was also good at photography & design. With also photographs taken by Irina IONESCO, Hendrika RIEMENS and Heidi MEISTER. Processing, treatment (“elaborazione”) of the photographs by Stefano LUCINATO, Vittorio CINTOLI and Antonio PERICOLI. Photographs of the Dutch artist himself, of women and of African objects, printed on pages of different color. No text. Of this publication two different versions are known. On the other version the dust jacket is illustrated with the ‘positive’ of the same image used for dust jacket of this copy. Different photographs have been used to illustrate the front cover. Provenance: from the estate of CORNEILLE.
