Second edition of 900 copies with English translations. In the former GDR, starting in 1970, when her eldest son was 13 months old and the father of that baby was studying elsewhere at the time, the mother – Gisela Lange - decided to keep notebooks in which she noted very accurately how she spent her meager income (of then 190 (Ost-)Marks). In 1979 her son Christian was born and he decided to use these notebooks of the first 18 years of his life, which he illustrated with black & white photos mostly from the family “archive” and added some (explanatory) texts. This work became his “masterpiece” to round off his study at the Zurich University of Arts in 2011.
