First English edition of De Ramp. 122 black & white photographs of “the storm-tide disaster” in February 1953, a storm that hit large parts of the province of Zeeland. Photos taken by many photographers, like Ed van der ELSKEN, Henk JONKER, Aart KLEIN, Ed van WIJK. Printed handwritten introduction by Queen Juliana, Dutch head of state in 1953. And a text “written by a British journalist living in Holland”… Edited by Han de Vries, Hans Redeker and Piet Klaassen. Published for the benefit of the Netherlands flood relief fund.
