This building - The Octagon - in Amsterdam-West by the architect Arnold Oyevaar, who described his design as “a garland of offices around a courtyard" In 2012, the new owner EDGE decided to thoroughly renovate the building, remove asbestos and provide it with a glass dome.
Bert TEUNISSEN recorded the work and Erik KESSELS created an original design by making two book blocks “fitting” together. After turning all the pages, alternately one to the right and then one to the left, one finds in the “heart” of the book a mounted, stamped black and white print (130 x 175 mm) with an aerial view of The Octagon under construction in the 1970's. This publication has hardly been traded.
Rare. Company book.
